We are currently seeking skilled and proficient Restorative Aide (CNA) to join our skilled nursing team and contribute to the well-being of our residents.
JOB SUMMARY:
A Restorative Aide (CNA) will play a vital role in assisting residents with therapeutic exercises and activities designed to promote mobility, strength, and independence. Under the direction of licensed nursing staff and therapists, you will provide hands-on support and encouragement to residents participating in restorative care programs. Your dedication and expertise will empower residents to achieve their maximum level of functioning and enhance their overall quality of life.
RESPONSBILITIES:
- Focus on maximizing residents existing abilities while encouraging independence
- Practice proper body mechanics while delivering restorative nursing care
- A Restorative Aide (RA) will assist with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and activities as indicated on care plans, promoting mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to residents during restorative care sessions, ensuring proper technique and safety at all times.
- Encourage and motivate residents to actively participate in their restorative care plans, fostering a sense of empowerment and achievement.
- Monitor residents' progress and response to therapy, documenting observations and reporting any changes or concerns to licensed nursing staff and therapists.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized restorative care plans based on residents' needs and goals.
- Assist with the implementation of specialized equipment and devices to support residents' mobility and independence, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents and their families, fostering a positive and supportive environment for rehabilitation and recovery.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License in the State of practice
- Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
