JOB SUMMARY :
A Medical Technician (Med Tech) will play an essential role in delivering compassionate care to residents within a community-based care setting. This position involves providing direct care, administering medications, monitoring patient health, and supporting overall wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to high-quality care.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Fosters a supportive, compassionate environment for our residents and their families
- Medication Administration : Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures and maintaining accurate medication records.
- Report changes in residents' conditions to appropriate team members.
- Assistance with Daily Living : Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Care Coordination : Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare professionals to create and maintain individual care plans for each resident.
- Documentation : Accurately document all care, medications, and any observed changes in residents’ conditions in accordance with company policies.
- Emergency Response : Act promptly and calmly in emergencies, following established protocols to ensure resident safety.
- Family Communication : Communicate with residents' families regarding health status, medication changes, and overall care updates, fostering trust and transparency.
- Compliance : Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies regarding healthcare and safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned
