With 67 units and the capacity of 80 total residents, Woodway is a huge resource for the local medicaid population. Job Summary
The primary purpose of the position is to exercise sound judgment and decision-making in the development, planning, organization, and directing of Foodservices Department. To assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Foodservices Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Foodservices Department, its programs, and activities.
- Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising all foodservice functions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining written dietary policies & procedures.
- Assist employees in interpreting and using departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Prepare necessary reports, budgets, forecasts, etc., as needed and/or directed.
- Develop and maintain a file of standard recipes.
- Ensure that menus are maintained.
- Develop methods for determining the quality and quantity of food served.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program.
- Participate in various committees of the facility as necessary or directed.
- Provide written and/or oral reports as required and/or directed.
- Evaluate and implement recommendations from established committees.
- Delegate administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to other foodservice employees as deemed necessary to perform their job functions.
- Meet with Foodservice employees on a regular basis. Communicate current issues and changes and solicit advice to improve services and teamwork.
- Meet with food and supply vendors as needed to assure procurement of necessary supplies.
- Assist in developing a preventative maintenance program for dietary equipment. Requisition equipment as necessary.
- Maintains a professional demeanor in the midst of verbal or physical aggression.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have at least 3 years of progressive Foodservice/Dietary Management experience.
- Must pass a state required background check
- Must have COVID vaccination or an approved exemption
