Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen, a premier long term skilled nursing facility located in Orange County, New York, has a position open for a P er-Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing rehab team! We are looking for individuals who desire a worthwhile career that has purpose and makes a meaningful difference in someone’s life. The Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities include :
Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient
Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
Physical Therapist Assistant Job Requirements :
Associate’s degree in physical therapist assistant
Valid New York State license
Good organization skills
Good communication skills
Good written skills
Rehab Optima experience is a plus
New grads encouraged to apply
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid NYS License awarded by NYS Education Department required
