Job Description:
We are actively seeking clinically superb Part-time RN Supervisors to oversee the day-to-day clinical activities of our healthcare personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting patient information, making critical decisions, administering medication, wound care, and other personalized interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, housekeeping, and security
- Work closely with medical support staff to ensure resident needs are met
- Maintain medical supplies and equipment
- Provide education as indicated after assessing the learning needs of patients and staff members
- Assess patients' physical and psycho-social conditions on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care
- Accurately record patient information in electronic medical records and patient medical records
- Demonstrate a current working knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and medications
- Act as liaison in coordinating patient care activities with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals
- Participate in preparation and facilitation of regulatory agency site visits
- Maintain adequate infection control standards
- Review and report medical incidents and provide input into actions necessary to resolve problems
- Participate in weekly and as-needed case conferencing sessions with interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure personnel adhere to established policies and procedures
- Document changes in residents' conditions
- Participate in care planning meetings
- Mentor and supervise LPNs and CNAs
Requirements:
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- 3 Years RN experience preferred
