Job Title: AWS Data Solution Architect

Interview Process: MS Teams, 2 rounds

Job Duration: 24 months (Expected to be a multi-year engagement - potential to convert to FTE if local)

Work Location: Monterey Park, CA / Remote

Hybrid Role: 1-2x/week onsite if local

Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelors Degree required

Must Have Skills:

• Proven expertise developing and driving data architecture and strategy
• Deep understanding of AWS data services such as Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue etc.
• Experienced with developing and implementing data domain architecture that's AWS Data Mesh ready
• Deep understanding of data architecture, reporting tools, and cloud technologies to deliver scalable, efficient, and insightful reporting solutions
• Experience with cloud security principles, data governance, and compliance standards.
• Strong experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data integration techniques
• Data governance experience:
• Ability to archive and purge logical data
• Understanding of privacy components for how to manage data
• Understanding of SAP S4 Hana
• Leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and lead technical discussions.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Innovative and solution oriented

Nice to Have Skills:

• Oil and Gas / utilities experience

Additional Information:

• This Data Architect will join the Customer Services group within this Natural Gas Utility to develop data architecture for AWS platforms and develop standards and guidelines for implementing future platforms.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Design and build data architecture for AWS platforms with a key focus on AWS Redshift and Glue
• Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data architecture to ensure optimal data management and usage
• drive data architecture for the PowerBI reporting platforms and integration with SAP and other 3^rd party systems and applications
• Develop strategies for data conversion, data modeling, analytics and reporting
• Establish standards and guidelines for future AWS platforms
• Analyze and define data requirements by working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Responsible for complying with data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of the organization's data assets
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that capture and represent business processes and data relationships..
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data owners to define data governance requirements and priorities aligned with business objectives.
