Onsite/Hybrid - 2 days a week in office in Ashburn, VA
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card needed due to a conversion needed after 6-12 months

FORTINET SECURITY ENGINEER
Client is currently hiring for a Network Security Engineer with a strong focus in Fortinet technologies to join as a resource for one of our clients within the Telecommunications industry that will sit in Ashburn, VA. This Engineer will be instrumental in testing new Fortinet technology being adopted by the client and its government customer. This work will be crucial to ensuring customers enjoy a seamless, stable, and reliable home internet experience that use this end clients network , which offers a unique opportunity to not only work side-by-side with one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, but also to gain valuable experience in a wide range of skills. FORTINET SECURITY ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of true enterprise level Network Engineering experience with a focus on Security Engineering using Fortinet Technologies including but not limited to:
Fortigate, Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer
Expert level with basic Netwotking routing protocols
Experience creating Firewalls from scratch
Strong networking foundation with IPSEC and BGP specifically
PLUS SKILLS:
Preferably Strong Network Engineering certifications or Security Engineering Certifications transferrable to the day to day operations listed above
FORTINET SECURITY ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting and contributing to planning teams goals and expectations scoping meeting - making recommendations based on previous roles and responsibilities similar to the project
Gathering requirements from internal business stakeholders and transferring those requirements into technical action items
Developing test cases scenarios focused on security Fortinet upgrades
Executing test cases with the testing teams and documenting results including bugs and networking issues for future projects
Work with Operations teams to validate MOP/SOP
