Entry requirements: Master Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or Electrical Technology with manufacturing and leadership experience
Position Summary:
A Planner/Supervisor supporting the Mill’s Coating Operations. In this role the individual will lead initiatives that ensure the safe execution of maintenance. Leadership accountabilities will include: managing the day-to-day and long-range planning and execution of prioritized work to ensure targeted reliability results, leading the implementation of maintenance best practices to ensure sustainable results, leading the development of Reliability Centered Maintenance programs, and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts. The successful individual is interested in manufacturing operations, enjoys leading others, has a proven track record of continuous improvement and is comfortable performing in a team environment.
Performance Objectives
- Accountable to achieve goals & objectives specific to the reliable and sustainable operation of the Mill’s Coating Assets.
- Leads and directs hourly maintenance personnel in the execution of work while ensuring adherence to site policies and rules within the Union environment.
- Maintains employee performance through training, coaching, counseling, and accountability.
- Willingness and ability to conduct meetings and present information to teams.
- Strong background with Electrical Systems such as Drives, PLCs, Power Distribution and Control, and Network Applications.
- Candidate must have strong safety leadership skills and a solid working knowledge of industry safety requirements such as; OSHA, NEC, ASME and NFPA.
- Optimization of maintenance execution through the functionality of the Mill’s Computerized Maintenance Management System-SAP.
- Utilize established problem solving methodologies to identify Root Cause and Corrective Actions. Experience with techniques such as KT, RCFA, MOC, and LSS preferred.
- Manage contractors hired to perform special tasks or to supplement the current workforce.
- Participate in rotating weekend duty responsibility.
- Prioritize work based on equipment criticality, project commitments, work order backlog, resource availability, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize accumulated experience to update and improve troubleshooting procedures and recommend design changes to achieve improved performance.
- Continually enhance E&I technical skills as well as expand knowledge of equipment reliability best practices in all disciplines.
Minimum Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
· Coordinated drive systems design and trouble shooting
· PLC’s (PLC 5, control logic, and other Allen Bradley control systems)
· Microsoft Office tools
· Extensive practical experience in the planning and coordination of electrical, instrumentation, and general mechanical; experience with and understanding of the planning and scheduling of maintenance projects; ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and principles; ability to work independently and as part of a service-oriented team; experience using a maintenance planning system; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills; attention to detail; and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of customers.
