Overview: The Paper Technical Services Manager is a crucial role within Sappi, responsible for leading the Paper Technical Department to achieve maximum technical competence in all paper process and product areas. They will be responsible for overseeing variable cost usage improvement, managing grade formulae, raw materials selection and optimization, Lean manufacturing activities, and reviewing actual performance against budget. Additionally, they will lead technical department activities to ensure optimization of plant chemical processes, product conformance to specifications, and development of new products that meet customer needs.
This role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in pulp and paper manufacturing equipment and processes, with 3-5 years of industrial experience including project management and process design. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is also essential.
