The Paper Technical Services Manager plays a crucial role in effectively managing the Paper Technical Department to achieve timely, cost-effective, maximum technical competence in all paper process and product areas. This position provides leadership in all paper mill technical, LSS and quality functions, including maximizing safety performance, process optimization, improved product quality and product development, and process engineer development.

Job Description:
The Paper Technical Services Manager plays a crucial role in effectively managing the Paper Technical Department to achieve timely, cost-effective, maximum technical competence in all paper process and product areas. This position provides leadership in all paper mill technical, LSS and quality functions, including maximizing safety performance, process optimization, improved product quality and product development, and process engineer development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the variable cost usage budget improvement for the mill through management of grade formulae, raw materials selection and optimization, Lean manufacturing activities, and frequent review of actual performance against budget.
- Provide leadership and direction in solving manufacturing problems and proactively looking for potential solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pulp and Paper or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Equipment and Processes.
- 3-5 years industrial experience including proven project management and process design.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
