General Medicine Group is seeking a Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, managing telephone messages, assisting with medical procedures, and performing various clinical tasks using sterile and aseptic techniques. We are looking for Medical Assistants who recognize the impact of chronic discomfort affects the quality of life and are committed to providing personalized patient care.
Successful applicants must have a current CPR card and possess one or more of the following certifications: CMA, RMA, or EMT-B/1.
New medical assistant graduates with the required certifications are encouraged to apply!
Basic office skills and the ability to learn new software for patient registration, record management, dictation, and transcription are essential for this position. Additionally, strong patient care skills, knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology, and an understanding of the legal implications in healthcare are required.
We offer a competitive salary, and while bilingualism is preferred, it is not mandatory. The role includes supporting the front desk check-in coordinator, preparing new patient paperwork, updating existing patient records, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, and scanning patient documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Candidates should have a minimum of six months of experience working in a medical office, which may include completed externships. Experience in Interventional Pain Management is preferred but not required.
