Job Summary

Saputo, Inc. is a leading dairy processor seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose equipment problems.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs as needed.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear to prevent downtime.
• Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs to maintain efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain industrial production and processing machinery and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Refer to blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
• Operate and support industrial, refrigeration, boiler, and utility operations to ensure smooth production.
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment as needed.
• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators to ensure safe operation.
• Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery for efficient production.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor to maintain productivity.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, work orders, and task records to track progress.
