Job Description:
Our team is seeking a skilled Pasteurizer Operator to join our dynamic 3rd shift production team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining pasteurization equipment, tanks, pumps, product lines, valves, fittings, and components in accordance with established SOPs. You will also be expected to follow all product processing guidelines to ensure products meet internal, state, and federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain pasteurization equipment, tanks, pumps, product lines, valves, fittings, and components in accordance with established SOPs
- Follow all product processing guidelines to ensure products meet internal, state, and federal requirements
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely product supply and production runs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per Chart Recording guidelines
- Proficiently use computer-based software and automated control systems
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
- Obtain necessary state pasteurization licenses
- Process product reclaim according to defined guidelines
- Perform equipment cleaning and sanitation tasks, including CIP/SIP/COP procedures
- Adjust equipment as needed for optimal performance
- Maintain departmental environmental controls
- Adhere to GMP/Food Safety/Allergen policies and employee Health and Safety guidelines
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Identify and report any out-of-specification product conditions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years' experience in food manufacturing, preferably in dairy food manufacturing
- Advanced quality/food safety training with a focus on dairy science is an asset
- Pasteurizer License - Grade A milk, in accordance with state regulations
- Strong mathematical skills
- Technical proficiency to operate equipment controls, touch panels, and mechanical operations
- Ability to achieve lift truck certification and safely operate lift trucks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated work history and consistent attendance
