Responsible for general assembly tasks associated with the packaging of quality cheese products.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
- Manually apply cheese and ingredients to the appropriate production line
- Perform manual packaging tasks such as bagging/wrapping/labeling/boxing/palletizing
- Restock packaging materials into machines such as boxes/tape/glue/film
- Monitor production flow, remove bad product as needed and potentially reapply it to the line
- Ensure documentation performed is in accordance with policies and procedures
- Ensure product quality through multiple inspections/tests and documentation of those activities
- Set up, adjust, monitor and perform general operating maintenance on production equipment
- Report noncompliance of production issues to the leadership teams
- Validate ingredients and material used in the production process
- Ensure paperwork and inventory systems transactions are accurately completed and performed in a timely manner
- Handle and use cleaning chemicals and perform sanitation duties
- Other duties as assigned
You Are Best Suited For The Role If You….
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand instructions.
- Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping practices.
- Comply with all quality system and regulatory requirements.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Requires regular attendance.
- Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs
