Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including lift trucks and pallet jacks.
- Enter data accurately into the ERP system.
- Loading and unloading trailers while following internal/external requirements.
- Storing materials and ingredients safely in approved locations.
- Handling chemicals, liquids, and dry ingredients safely, adhering to personal protection procedures.
- FIFO and inventory control practices must be followed.
- Stage batch ingredients and ensure production lines are stocked accordingly.
- Perform pre- and post-usage inspections of ingredients and materials.
- Effective communication with internal and external customers is essential.
- Follow standard operating procedures without deviation.
- Inspect equipment before use.
- Complete records and documents accurately.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Support audits and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reclaim and rework products as necessary.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
- Comply with GMPs and Food Safety requirements.
- Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and Company Values.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and department personnel.
- Other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum two years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably dairy food manufacturing.
- Lift truck certification and valid driver's license are necessary.
- Quality/food safety training is a plus, but not required.
- A working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms is beneficial.
- Strong math skills and technical abilities are necessary.
- Demonstrated work history and attendance record are essential.
