Saunders & Associates, APC is expanding and is seeking a self motivated Senior Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of 7 years experience in Civil and Commercial Litigation that is looking to grow with our successful team!
The candidate will work closely with litigation teams on civil & commercial litigation matters, assisting with all aspects of case preparation and file management from commencement through settlement or trial. Looking for experienced litigation paralegals.
The candidate "must" have a minimum of seven (7) years of civil and commercial litigation experience. The candidate must be able to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to :
- Drafting motions and oppositions;
- Propounding Discovery;
- Responding to Discovery;
- Interrogatories & RFA's;
- Drafting civil complaints;
- Drafting legal documents;
- Research and correspondence;
- Summarizing Depositions;
- Communicating and updating clients;
- Conduct investigations and collect relevant information;
- Assist with case settlements;
- Analyze legal documents;
- E-filing pleadings / motions with State and Federal courts;
- Editing and formatting briefs and memorandums;
- Managing docket of deadlines and case priorities;
- Managing document storage and production and handling electronic discovery processes;
- Knowledge and mastery of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel and Adobe Acrobat a must;
- Experience with Federal Court filings and systems such as PACER and ECF a must;
- Working knowledge of the California Rules of Civil Procedure;
- Case management software called MyCase;
- Collaborating with team members;
- Phone etiquette;
- Administrative skills;
- File management;
- Research skills;
- Legal administrative knowledge;
- Clerical skills.
