Position Overview:
- This important role will assist with the design, development, implementation, and support of business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions.
- The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data analysis and business intelligence tools and will help deliver solutions using Power BI, SQL Server, Pentaho, and several other tools as required.
- This role requires strong technical skills in data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain BI Solutions: Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems Data: Gain insights from ERP system data from systems such as Infor Syteline, NetSuite, Expandable, JDE, SAP, etc.
- Business Analyst Skillset: Ability to understand business-related concepts and data. Working with ERP system data such as GL, AP, Pricing, etc.
- Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models to support BI reporting and analytics.
- ETL Development: Design and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow into data warehouses and BI platforms using tools like Pentaho.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business users, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver solutions.
- Data Analysis: Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business growth and efficiency improvements.
- Data Quality Management: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI and analytics platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize BI solutions for speed, scalability, and usability, ensuring efficient query performance and report generation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics development.
- Proficiency in one or more BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Phocas, SSRS, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills for querying data, data transformation, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes. Experience with Pentaho is preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record for delivering multiple concurrent tasks end-to-end to meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
