Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Southington, CT (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer III to support our Business Manufacturing team. In this role, you will design, develop, and improve product assembly machines to ensure efficiency and reliability. You will also work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to enhance high-volume assembly machines for disposable medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Develop and improve assembly machinery from concept to production
🔹 Create machine requirements in compliance with industry standards
🔹 Design machine assemblies using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
🔹 Troubleshoot and provide technical support for production equipment
🔹 Conduct engineering and validation studies for assembly machines
🔹 Work with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, and Machine Shop
Qualifications:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
✔️ 7 years of experience in Medical Device Production Machines or a related field
✔️ Expertise in SolidWorks, machine design, and geometric tolerances
✔️ Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
✔️ Knowledge of DOE, statistical methods, and risk documentation
