We’re looking for a social manager to join Instagram’s social team. This role is responsible for finding, surfacing and developing original content for the official @instagram social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and more. You are an experienced storyteller, organized, prioritize attention to detail, thrive in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment, and possess demonstrated experience with social content creation. You must have experience capturing content in the field, video editing experience, effective communication, and are well-versed in delivering and launching initiatives on time, on budget and on strategy.

- Develop original content and assets for social media, namely @instagram on Instagram
- Collaborate with partners on Marketing and Communications to bring new products and features to life through our social
- Understand the interests and behaviors of the @instagram audience and how to best connect with them and keep them engaged
- Work collaboratively across the team and communicate effectively
- Identify, surface and amplify Instagram trends across a diverse spectrum of topics
- Research and suggest relevant Instagram content and creators for coverage on our social channels
- 3 years of experience in a role with an emphasis on creating and sourcing assets for social media
- A love of making content and being in the weeds with assets
- An in-depth knowledge, familiarity and experience of working with the Instagram products and publishing content across multiple surfaces including Instagram Reels, Stories, Instagram Feed
- Experience running projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with external talent and production partners
- Experience building working relationships with core and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience working in content production for an international audience
- Experience with quick-turn/rapid response communications
- Experience in trend-spotting and translating trends to social
- Knowledge of videographers and photographers and photo/video shoot experience
- Experience working within a department that places priority on visual storytelling
