Job Title : Occupational Therapist

Job Specialty : Rehab

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days, 8 hours, Monday to Friday

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : 2 years of experience required, Adult Experience required

License : Illinois Occupational Therapy License required

Certifications : Basic Life Support (AHA) required

Must-Have :

Two supervisory references with dates employed
Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
Profile requirements including work history
Candidates must have a permanent address located more than 50 miles from the facility

Job Description :

Plan and execute rehabilitation programs to assist patients in improving, regaining, and developing skills needed for daily life and work.

Utilize a variety of skills including therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, fabricating / issuing splints, adaptive equipment recommendations, therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and physical modalities.

Develop custom programs aimed at enhancing activities of daily living.

Demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients and provide compassionate care.
