Clinical Systems Analyst
Job Description
Clinical Systems Analyst develops, designs and supports clinical applications, solutions, and processes to meet the operational and clinical application needs of the organization. They ensure effective system operations by providing end user support and advanced application training and communications. Evaluates, redesigns, and standardizes systems workflows and processes to achieve department/organization goals and clinical success measures. This position requires the application of advanced, broad-based knowledge of clinical professional practice and theory, as well as the ability to act as a change agent in problem-solving across disciplines.
Responsibilities
Actively participates in the applications on-call rotation cycle which includes 24-hour availability, general working knowledge of most systems, ability to make correct judgment decisions, and working knowledge of operational procedures., Adheres to departmental procedures and standard work processes., Administers needed changes to procedure manuals and other documentation., Analyzes existing information system, processes and procedures in supported functional areas, evaluating new and existing systems functionality and workflows, and identifying gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement., Assists in training end users and other analysts as required., Assists the Director of Business Information Systems in planning and managing the functional areas and related modules/systems. Will assist in assessing the progress and status of projects, vendor’s and user support., Effectively interacts with customers, end users, core teams, management, other Information Systems staff, vendors, and others in the course of completing Information Systems projects, coordinating tasks, providing technical assistance, and resolving problems and systems issues., Maintains a high level of knowledge of assigned systems, applications, modules and supported workflows., Provides ongoing support for assigned systems and functional areas, including systems testing, deployment, performance monitoring, maintenance, issue resolution, upgrade and lifecycle management., Serves as project manager or as a project resource for assigned systems or process improvement projects., Works closely with other Information System staff and serves as a technical project resource as assigned.
