Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated departments. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
Hours: Monday - Friday, day shift
Responsibilities
Analyzes trends and metrics (quality of hire, vacancy, turnover, etc.) in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies., Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters., Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations of employee complaints or allegations., Conducts retention activities including exit interviews with terminating employees, Pulse Check facilitation, providing summary information to leaders as appropriate., Coordinates all phases of applicant to onboarding of candidates. Encourages and reviews new employee surveys to identify and address any trend as needed., Develops and updates literature and maintains supply of general promotional items for use in the recruitment function., Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers., Effectively recommends recruitment methods and strategies based on current operations., Ensures appropriate follow-up with program attendees and potential employment candidates., Facilitates selection of candidates to ensure quality hires and support retention., Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance., Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues., Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met., Performs other related duties as assigned., Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)., Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning., Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation., Provides referrals to EOD for Identified training needs., Remains aware of current status of positions available and actively works toward filling vacancies., Seeks marketing opportunities (career days, job fairs, general speaking engagements) and makes effective presentations re: health care careers, SBL career opportunities, and the overall positive culture of SBL., Serves as primary HR point of contact for assigned departments. Conducts weekly meetings and consults with supervisors and management, providing HR guidance (recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, etc.) when appropriate., Sources applicants through job posting, social media, advertisements, job fairs, professional recruiters, school contacts, etc., Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, develop culture, build engagement, improve morale, increase productivity and strengthen retention.
