Performance Consultant - Clinics
Job Description
Reports to the Director of Employee and Organizational Development. Provides education, leadership, and support to clinical staff in the Practice Management division. Collaborates with Clinical Instructors, Directors and Supervisors within Practice Management. Monitors the progress and effectiveness of improvement programs for the Practice Management division. Assists with coordination of activities in anticipation of TJC accreditation survey. The role of the Performance Consultant is to elevate the standard of professional clinical practices in Practice Management by evaluating workflow changes while training clinical team members to ensure safe, effective, evidence-based, and high quality patient care.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities
Communicates clinical information, standards of care, and SBLHS policies to clinical staff., Consistently seeks out opportunities for practice transformation initiatives., Consults and engages other internal personnel (Clinical Educators, Clinical Support, Office Assistant Educator, Pharmacy, Safety, Quality & Risk Management) to assure appropriate clinical staff education and follow-up., Evaluate process changes and workflows in Practice Management division., Maintains list of clinical staff’s BLS, ACLS, and other certifications to ensure they are current. Facilitates training of BLS and ACLS with clinical staff., Promotes and conducts office and division-wide performance improvement activities., Responds to appropriate requests and initiatives from Administration, other Directors and Managers, physicians, and staff to improve and/or expand clinical services., Responds to Practice Management Leadership requests for clinic site visits to assist physicians and staff with all aspects of practice transformation: clinical workflows/procedures, compliance, training, and any other request., Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of departmental policies, procedures, protocols and standards to maintain high clinical quality., Reviews job descriptions and shadows staff to ensure staff are being utilized to the full extent of their license/certification., Works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and Information Systems to find solutions to system challenges.
