We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The Controller oversees all accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and budgeting functions for the Health System. Oversees and has primary responsibility for outside audits of the system. Accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Advises, and otherwise participates in, the development and management of services necessary to effectively and efficiently support all departmental functions.
- Coordinates the annual process for developing the operating budget, including wage and salary changes and prices increases, the capital budget, and the cash budget.
- Develops new or modified accounting systems to ensure that relevant, reliable, and valid information remains available for management decision-making throughout the Health System.
- Ensures a safe environment and practices for patients and employees.
- Demonstrates integrity and high ethical standards.
- Maintains current knowledge of (1) laws, regulations, and rules to ensure compliance with federal and state mandates regarding third-party functions.
- Support vice president with negotiating rates and contract terms with MCO’s, as requested. Provide financial impact assessments of managed care agreements both prospectively and retrospectively.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant
- Proven experience as a Hospital Controller or in a similar financial management role.
Salary : $139,818 - $216,715
