Our HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HR team on operational tasks and communications, supporting colleagues and leaders with HR related systems/processes/questions, ensuring compliance with policies as well as state and federal laws, and acting as a partner to internal stakeholders and/or partner teams.

This position will be based in our Nashville, TN corporate offices and work onsite.

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Supporting and assisting the HR team as needed including managing the shared HR mailboxes our colleagues use to communicate with HR.
  • Assists in research, problem solving, and communication of findings/explanation to colleagues’ questions/concerns as needed. Ensures timely responses are provided to the requestor.
  • Assists hiring manager with the hiring lifecycle and provisioning steps by guiding them through the new hire process.
  • Partners with vendors (ie, background check and drug testing vendors) to ensure pre-hire tasks assigned to new hires are effectively assigned in a timely manner.
  • Leads the preboarding and onboarding of new hires including background processing.
  • Understanding SCRI Culture & Standards to better serve our colleagues/leaders. Understanding how our leaders think to be proactive in troubleshooting and providing support.
  • Accurately interprets and educates managers/colleagues regarding policy/procedure interpretation.
  • Assists with projects and communications such as benefits open enrollment, colleague rewards and recognition, payroll, and benefit communication, etc.
  • Assists in creation of and effectively communicates appropriate HR issues to all colleagues via different communication channels (internal HR Newsflash, email, brochures, flyers, bulletin boards, etc.).
  • Partners with payroll to ensure colleagues receive accurate paychecks. Ensure accuracy and pro-actively mitigates issues due to overpayments, terminations, bonuses, role transfers, merit increases and status changes, errors in timekeeping, etc. in accordance with established policy and procedures.

Qualifications for success in this role include:

  • Bachelor's Degree, education may be partially substituted for work experience
  • 1 years' work experience in a similar Human Resources position
  • Advanced skills with all MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using HRIS systems, Workday, HireRight and ADP are highly preferred
  • SharePoint design and maintenance experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written, as well as being comfortable leading presentations as needed
