Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time, on-site accounts receivable specialist to join our team. Located in Rushville, IL, Culbertson is a 22 bed Critical Access Hospital. We are looking for a candidate that wants to become a long-term member of our family and lead Culbertson for years to come. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to perform superior collection efforts on outstanding accounts for assigned payors. This entails appealing denied and incorrectly paid claims and contacting payors and patients thru verbal, written and electronic modes of communication.
Schedule: Monday- Friday (Days)
Regulatory/Educational Requirements to Qualify:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior experience as a medical biller preferred
Experience/Necessary Skills:
- Basic computer operation knowledge and ability to correctly operate general office equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze accounting journals/entries, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
