What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative position at Sarah D Culbertson Memorial Hospital?
Schedule: Varied schedule 3-12 hour shifts 7a.m.-7p.m. or 7p.m.-7a.m.
Duties: The Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact in a patient’s healthcare journey. They are responsible for collecting and entering correct demographic and insurance information into the CMH database. They are also responsible for scheduling appointments for patients, answering the hospital or clinic switchboard, and escorting patients to the appropriate location, when needed. Applicant must possess excellent customer service and computer skills as well as the ability to multi-task and close attention to detail. The Patient Access Representative should always keep a positive demeanor to make the patient experience the best one possible.
