POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Working closely with the CEO, CAO, and Management Team, the Maintenance and Facility Manager plans, organizes, manages, and directs technical responsibilities for maintaining all Sarah Heinz House facilities, grounds, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Risk Management
- Ensure Adherence to Appropriate Safety Procedures
- Ensure safe Use of Tools/Equipment Operations and Proper Maintenance
- Appropriate Use of Cleaning Materials/Supplies
- Ensure a clean, healthy, safe, positive environment is created and maintained.
- Acts as liaison between any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
- Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
- Participates in the emergency preparedness planning team.
- Applies or assists with application for required environmental permits.
- Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders as needed.
- Ensures compliance with safety and OSHA requirements.
- Serve as a safety officer and crisis coordinator in an emergency or safety situation.
- Serve as Chair for (Staff) Safety Committee.
Maintenance
- Manages the maintenance operations of a company or organization.
- Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly.
- Ensures the proper function and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Plans and supervises the maintenance staff and defines their goals.
- Implements maintenance policies and procedures.
- Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
- Coordinates and tracks maintenance schedules and budgets
- Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
Leadership
- In collaboration with the Chief Administrative Officer, continue to improve and update a preventive maintenance program for mechanical equipment, alarm systems, vehicles, buildings, and the Heinz Camp residential grounds.
- Serve as the staff liaison for the board-led safety committee.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years of equivalent experience or 5-10 years of demonstrated ability or experience with operations.
- FBI clearances required. National Criminal Background Check; National Sex
Offender Registry; Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and PATCH
- CPR/AED (OTJ provided)
- First Aid (American Red Cross) (OTJ provided)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proficient with technology on a variety of platforms, e.g., Microsoft Office Applications, Zoom
- Experience motivating and supporting others
