What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Counselor position at Sarah Reed Children's Center?
Job duties include:
- Assist students one on one and in small group tutorials
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic classroom environment through various classroom management techniques
- Assist with program record keeping including point cards, grading, and other required documentation
- De-escalate students in crisis using Safe Crisis Management techniques
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- Full-time
- School year schedule
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid PA Driver's License or PA I.D. and Reliable Transportation
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education or related field preferred
- Must be able to obtain clean FBI, PA Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
