We are looking for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our dynamic team and help us continue to provide top-notch service.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shop Technician and Installer to join our team. This role involves servicing and installing Ricoh copiers, printers, and other related office equipment. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is installed properly and maintained in optimal condition, providing excellent customer service, and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain Ricoh copiers, printers, and other related office equipment.
- Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues over the phone or on-site.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of copiers and printers.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues, providing solutions to fix equipment.
- Order necessary parts and supplies for repairs and installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment both in the shop and at customer locations.
- Provide training to customers on the use and maintenance of their equipment.
- Ensure all work orders, service reports, and inventory logs are accurate and completed on time.
- Maintain customer satisfaction through professional service and effective communication.
- Travel to customer sites to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a copier technician or in a similar technical role (preferably with Ricoh equipment).
- Strong knowledge of office equipment, including copiers, printers, and multifunction devices.
- Basic understanding of networking and connectivity issues related to printers and copiers.
- Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks related to installations.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or training preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- Ricoh-specific certification (or similar certifications in copier repair/maintenance).
- Experience with multi-functional copiers, networking, and scanning functions.
- Prior experience in installing office equipment.
