Cleaners are responsible
for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen machinery and equipment, and
restaurant front and back of house areas.
Essential Functions
- Deep clean and maintain general cleanliness of front and back of house areas including kitchens, dining rooms and bathrooms, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting; scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks and kitchen fixtures; and washing and drying windows
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and communicate any potential repair issues to management
- Inventory cleaning supplies and notify management when running low
- Empty indoor trash receptacles and move garbage to outdoor receptacles while keeping related areas clean
- Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends in a variety of restaurants and sites as needed
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
- Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ability to read a thermometer
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Get along well with others and be a team player
