We are seeking an AWS FinOps Engineer with 8 years of experience in AWS cloud financial management, cost optimization, and FinOps best practices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and optimizing AWS cloud spend, ensuring cost efficiency, financial transparency, and resource utilization best practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, automation expertise, and deep knowledge of AWS cost management tools to align cloud spending with business objectives .

- Hands-on expertise with Apptio and AWS cost management tools, including:
- AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS Cost Anomaly Detection
- AWS Compute Optimizer, AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR)
- AWS Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, Auto Scaling for cost efficiency
- S3 cost optimization strategies (Intelligent-Tiering, Glacier, Lifecycle Policies)
- Strong understanding of AWS billing, chargeback models, and cloud financial operations.
- Experience with AWS networking cost optimizations, including VPC peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Route 53 configurations.
- Basic experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated cost governance (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
- Experience with FinOps automation and integrating FinOps methodologies within DevOps workflows
- AWS Certification preferred (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or Certified Cloud Financial Operations Specialist is a plus
