Position Overview:
As a Mid-Level Digital Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering exceptional digital products that seamlessly integrate into our transportation solutions. This includes a hybrid of UX and UI work as you’ll be working in the HMI (Human Machine Interface) Design team. This role focuses on the in-vehicle design experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-fidelity 2D and 3D designs, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Develop interactive animations and motion graphics to enhance user engagement and delight.
- Ensure consistency and coherence across various digital touchpoints with a focus on in-vehicle interfaces, not excluding web, mobile, app, etc.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the organization. Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology and process.
- Stay ahead of emerging design trends, technologies, and industry best practices, embracing ambiguity in an R&D context to spearhead and inspire continuous improvement and innovation within the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Product Design, Digital Arts, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in digital product design, preferably within the automotive or related industry.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent.
- Must be able to demonstrate Prototyping abilities (Figma, Protopie, etc.)
- Proficiency in 3D tools and animation such as C4D, After Effects, or equivalent.
- Ideal: experience with Kanzi, Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, including 2D and 3D work, animation, and motion graphics.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience designing complex products and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Plus if familiarity working in an Agile development environment.
