We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Accounting Coordinator to provide general accounting and administrative support to the entire professional team of the Finance and Board Services Department. This position assists in the coordination and tracking of department tasks/activities and assignment to special projects such as coordination and the development of content and presentations and publications. The role also assists in the year-end external audit and preparation of specialized reports in support of year-end review processes. In addition, the position prepares the County’s bank reconciliation, assists financial analysts with accounting-specific tasks, conducts account analysis and performs various other reconciliations. The position is based in beautiful downtown Sarasota, Florida.

The minimum starting pay is $58,656. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, up to $73,253.
An associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Management, or related field, or two years direct experience required. Five years of progressively responsible general accounting and bookkeeping experience and hands-on work experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
