Apply today and be part of a growing team making a real impact in the Sarasota County community!About the PositionBusiness Operations Analysis and Process ImprovementLead technology-related projects and website management for the department, ensuring accurate information, accessibility, and transparency.Develop and implement communication strategies and represents the department in County-wide systems and policy development efforts.Analyze performance data and identifies gaps to drive operational improvements and strategic planning.Evaluate and enhance policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with administrative directives.Engage in cross-functional collaboration and facilitates team-driven innovation through feedback, project management, and process improvements.Strategic Business Planning Lead development and implementation of the annual Strategic Business Plan, coordinating action items and proposals across divisions.Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and strategic opportunities, providing guidance and proposals to support long-term departmental goals.Performance Measurement and ManagementCoordinate with Division Managers to develop and analyze departmental performance measures, supporting data-driven decision-making.Identifie trends and improvement opportunities through research and analysis, recommending strategic and operational changes, and assisting with performance metrics across departments.Special Projects ManagerManage and coordinate special projects and departmental initiatives under the direction of the Department Director.Lead records management efforts, including fulfilling public records requests, overseeing retention programs, and managing the Document Management System in compliance with Florida Statutes.Prepare technical reports, presentations, and official assignments, and presents information to both internal and external stakeholders.Research and develop key departmental documents such as contracts, agreements, policies, and board reports, and supports the Director with correspondence and issue response. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. About YouMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or a related field AND Two (2) years of related work experience.-OR- Six (6) years of professional experience may be substituted at management discretion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in business operations or program/project management. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerBI, PowerDMS, and Adobe Acrobat, with ability to learn the County's software's/technologies.Knowledge of financial processes, business planning, and budget processes.Knowledge of research techniques and methods of data collection, best practice research, and analysis. Have acquired a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
