About the Position
In this role, you will...
- Perform daily safety checks, monitoring the grounds for safety issues, irrigation leaks or landscaping issues, fallen limbs, yard debris, etc.
- Inspect equipment and make determinations on the job site on how to utilize equipment and workforce.
- Perform attendant duties cleaning the beaches, picnic areas, parking lots, open areas, restroom facilities, etc.
- Plan the schedule of maintenance for assigned area(s).
- Coordinate equipment assignments for daily tasks. Examples include small tractors, trash trucks, small pickup trucks, and/or the club car for daily operations at the beaches and special events.
- Assist with special events at the beaches.
- Operate light automotive and landscape equipment, as well as hand tools.
- Instruct subordinates in safety practices and proper procedures for work.
- Keep operating records, complete material requests, service requests, and work orders.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
- 40 hours a week
- Must be available Sunday - Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and willing to work on weekdays, weekends as needed.
- Work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, emergencies
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- One year of experience in maintenance, construction, or grounds maintenance.
- Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working with small equipment/engines (i.e., weed-eaters, chainsaws, pumps).

Starting Pay: $22.12/hr (Step 1)
Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
