Do you have experience operating heavy construction equipment? Spend your days working on the construction, maintenance, and repair of stormwater utility pipelines, storm conveyance systems, and their components. Apply today and do what you love!- Transport, operate and maintain heavy equipment, vehicles and machines such as backhoes, walking excavators, front-end loaders, dump trucks, gradalls, boom trucks, sewer vacuuming and flushing trucks and equipment, delivery trucks, and other related equipment and machines used in the construction, maintenance and repair of stormwater conveyance systems and their appurtenances.
- Perform manual labor tasks related to stormwater conveyance system maintenance and repair as required.
- Perform roadway and right-of-way restoration relating to completed utility maintenance and repairs.
- Complete and submit work orders relating to all work performed in a professional and timely fashion.
Work Hours:
- Tuesday- Friday
- 40 Hours Per Week
- 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Two years of experience in the operation and routine maintenance with heavy equipment in operations, maintenance, repair, and construction of water distribution.
- A valid Florida Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at the time of hire.
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

Starting Pay: $21.54 (Step 1)
Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
