Starting pay for Certified Corrections Deputies is $75,112* based on 2229.5 work schedule
Corrections Deputy Duties to include but are not limited to:
- Maintain physical custody of inmates within the Sarasota County Jail facility including the processing and classifying of new inmates working 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Inspect cells and supervise trustees.
- Transport inmates to and from medical treatments.
- Move inmates to and from court as required.
- Transport inmates both intra and interstate at which time wearing of a firearm is required.
- Act as Court Deputy in court during periods of unusual court activity, conduct lineups and interviews.
- Corrections Deputy may perform other related duties and tasks as required.
