We are looking for an experienced Manager of Financial Services to direct and coordinate the activities of the Financial Services division of the Finance and Board Services department. The position manages both clerical and fiscal activities to ensure adherence to, and compliance with, established federal, state and local regulatory standards governing Sarasota County, and financial administration and reporting for the Board of County Commissioners. The work is incredibly rewarding for someone looking to make a positive difference in our community. The position is based in beautiful downtown Sarasota, Florida.

The minimum starting pay is $72,684. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, up to $91,285.

A bachelor's degree in Business or four years of direct experience required. Additional coursework in Accounting or Public Finance preferred. Five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in local government finance administration, including an ERP information system and public accounting with government-related experience, is preferred. A Certified Public Accounting license (CPA) or master’s degree is preferred. One to three years of supervisory experience is required.
