Job Summary
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst promotes a data aware culture throughout the organization utilizing skills to conceptualize, design, and produce visually compelling BI reporting solutions (reports, dashboards, data sets etc.) by utilizing BI reporting software tools. Utilizes data visualization techniques that bring together data from a multitude of systems within and outside the organization. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, including but not limited to, data quality, data integration, and data modeling resulting in timely, accurate, concise and actionable information to the institution. Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in discovering fundamental data within organizational systems that includes, mining, mapping, validating and querying large data sets, discovering root causes, while designing long-term solutions that leverage available data and continuously improve user insights.

Required Qualifications
- Require a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field. Relevant progressive professional work experience will substitute on a year for year basis in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Require two (2) years of experience with healthcare clinical, business and financial systems/applications, with ability to understand how the various systems interact from an enterprise perspective and possess the skill to query, extract/transform/load (ETL) required data from or to systems as needed.
- Prefer ability to understand and interpret customer requirements, impacts and needs from initial request through final delivery, including understanding of databases, data architecture, reporting tools and compliance.
- Prefer excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to work with minimal oversight and ability to ensure that all tasks are completed correctly, timely and in line with established guidelines and business needs.
- Prefer experience developing solutions with Business Intelligence (BI) software (Dimensional Insight, Tableau, Qlik, Sisense, etc.) and SQL code including: Designing, coding, testing and documenting new or modified BI services, applications, programs, reports, and dashboards.
- Prefer certifications in related field such as Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Data Professional (CDP).
- Prefer broad knowledge and experience in data analysis, benchmarking, financial and clinical analysis, predictive analytics and report design, including, development and interpretation of reports in graphical and tabular formats.
- Prefer excellent organizational, analytical, judgment and interpersonal skills with the ability to formulate and communicate data processes, findings and recommendations to a broad audience.
