Job Summary
In addition to being responsible for performing the standard duties & responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technologist in multiple roles as the situation dictates (first scrub, 2nd scrub, first assistant if credentialed, preceptor), this position functions in a lead support role assisting leadership in the areas of technical operations, personnel management, quality control and financial management. This position will also serve as a resource and offer clinical advisement to fellow team members about specialty concerns or surgeon preference. In addition, the lead will work in conjunction with the RN Clinical Lead to ensure turn over times are under 30 minutes, restocking assignments are appropriately assigned, team members are educated on new supplies and equipment, as well as, ensure patient care and safety are the top priority.

Required Qualifications
- Require one (1) year of Certified Surgical Technologist operating room experience, with a minimum of six (6) months at the CST II or III level.
- Require proficiency in one (1) or more specialty area/service lines with knowledge in two (2) or more additional specialty area/service lines.
- Require proficiency in Level II Trauma.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to make significant contributions in reducing cost per case (i.e., impact preference card accuracy, choice or supplies, suture, etc.).
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of advanced technology (i.e., navigation, robotics).
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of specialty procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Prefer the demonstrated ability to communicate proficiently, both written and orally.
