Job Summary
Responsible for hospital operational throughput within the hospital. Facilitates the movement of inpatient and outpatients to appropriate rooms when admitted and preventing flow back up in critical areas such as the ICU, OR, PACU and ECC in collaboration with Patient Placement. Responsible for building collaborative relationships between charge nurses, nurse managers and administration. Develops and implements plans to identify and mitigate impediments to efficient patient flow throughout the hospital system. Facilitates the provision of a safe, functional and supportive environment for patients, staff and the surrounding community during a disaster situation. Leads the clinical initiative for the Emergency Medical System by constantly encouraging staff to participate in learning opportunities related to disaster preparedness.
Required Qualifications
- Require Bachelor degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field.
- Require minimum three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer previous managerial/supervisory experience.
- Prefer ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision making and problem solving expertise.
- Prefer previous experience developing policies and procedures, developing and presenting educational programs, and/or working with outside government agencies or vendors.
- Prefer demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to give direction at all levels.
- Prefer ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and other commonly used computer applications.
- Prefer ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
Mandatory Education
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
Required License and Certs
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
7:00pm to 7:30am, weekends required, no rotating shift
