You will be resonsible for researching and identifying grant opportunities, preparing comprehensive and interdisciplinary grant proposals, and managing the grant writing process. This includes developing project plans, researching and preparing grant budgets, maintaining grant records, and supporting the administrative aspects of post-award grant processing for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS). This position also serves a crucial role in managing the entire grant lifecycle, from identifying external funding opportunities throughout the system, writing the proposals, to tracking and reporting outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Require minimum of one (1) year of grant writing experience, preferably with a research focus in a healthcare organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer strong understanding of the nonprofit sector, particularly in healthcare and hospital services.
- Prefer experience securing new funding opportunities, comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify opportunities for SMHCS.
- Prefer grant budget development and management experience, along with familiarity with grant management software and CRM systems.
- Prefer advanced skills in planning which combines the interests of multiple stakeholders within an institution or organization.
- Prefer excellent writing and verbal communication skills, high standards, integrity, loyalty, self-discipline, and strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Prefer strong organizational skills, ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, and ability to deliver against timelines.
