Job Summary
This position functions in a lead support role assisting leadership in the areas of technical operations, personnel management, quality control, and financial management, and is responsible for the daily work distribution and monitoring of team assignments within a designated functional area(s) of the Health Information Management department.
Required Qualifications
- Require current certification as a RHIT, or in lieu of certification must be currently enrolled in an accredited HIM program. Must sit and successfully pass the RHIT exam within six (6) months of program completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of four (4) years of previous experience in Health Information Management, Patient Access, Business Office or Registration.
- Prefer experience on Allscripts/SCM, eScription, SCI, and OnBase systems, as well as demonstrated ability and competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel.
- Prefer the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and at all levels of staff.
- Prefer the ability to demonstrate effective analytical skills, and the ability to determine root causes for data integrity issues.
- Prefer the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate decision-making ability, as well as work collaboratively in a team environment.
