Job Overview
As a Patient Care Technician you will play a critical role in patient care, by performing tasks supportive to delivering top quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. .
Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or
- currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN);
- have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN;
- cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; and d) Nurse/Practical Nurse Graduate who is eligible and/or scheduled to sit for the NCLEX exam within 12 months of hire date; or
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation. - EMT, CNA, or Paramedic certification preferred (hospital may provide assistance in obtaining civilian certifications).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Current BLS Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- Full Time, Part Time and PRN Opportunites
