Job Duties Also Include
- **Patient Transport:** Assist in the safe and efficient movement of patients between departments, ensuring comfort and documentation.
- **ICU/Inpatient Bed Retrieval:** Manage and deliver ICU and inpatient beds as needed, following safety protocols.
- **Oncology Case Cart Delivery:** Ensure accurate and timely delivery of oncology case carts with necessary supplies.
- **Specimen/Culture Transportation:** Collect and transport specimens and cultures, maintaining sample integrity.
- **Supply Pickup:** Retrieve and distribute medical supplies from central storage to various departments.
- **Blood Bank Runs:** Transport blood products to required departments, adhering to handling guidelines.

Required Qualifications
- Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or 3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
