Required Qualifications
Environmental AideFollows established procedures, cleans, disinfects, and services hospital units, patient rooms, critical care, specialty areas, and offices of the hospital and its subsidiaries. As needed, operates electrical and battery-powered equipment.
Food Service WorkerAssembles patient meals, prepares cold food items and completes sanitation duties. Responsible for food preparation according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Completes ware-washing tasks as directed. Develops positive relations with other team members and functions competently in team environment. Ensures completion of daily tasks according to established quality and service guidelines.
Nutrition AttendantProvides exceptional customer service to patients, family members, physicians and nursing for a variety of meal service necessities by following Food and Nutrition Service Standards. This includes menu and meal explanations, basic diet instructions and modifications, advance notice of meal selections and timely documentation of alternate food preferences. Nutrition Attendants consistently strive to exceed the expectations of customers utilizing the services of Food and Nutrition. As required, facilitates training of new employees and assists with ongoing education for various department initiatives.
Retail Attendant: The Retail Attendant prepares and serves coffee, food and bakery products to all guests using exceptional customer service interaction skills and full knowledge of the food production and specialty coffee production processes. Effectively performs multiple job tasks with attention to detail and a keen awareness of customer needs and perception including: coffee recipe production, food recipe production, bakery selection knowledge, cash handling speed and transaction accuracy, personal hygiene and work area sanitation. Retail Attendant consistently strives to exceed the expectations of our customers and as required assists with various food related department tasks including new employee training and ongoing education initiatives.
Cook:Prepares hot and cold food items according to standardized recipes for patients, cafeteria, physician’s lounge and catering using standard kitchen and advanced cook-chill equipment. Ensures product quality and availability meet established standards with minimal waste. Effectively communicates inventory status to Executive Chef, Product Expeditor or Supervisor. Establishes sound working relationships with line staff to promote patient tray accuracy and assembly efficiencies. As necessary, assists with patient meal service according to service standards.
Preferred Education
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate

- Prefer ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, hospital staff, fellow workers and department management team.
- Prefer ability to read and understand written instructions and use a tablet (iPad).
- Prefer: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Retail Attendant: The Retail Attendant prepares and serves coffee, food and bakery products to all guests using exceptional customer service interaction skills and full knowledge of the food production and specialty coffee production processes. - Prefer two (2) years experience in a high volume direct customer interaction setting.
- Prefer ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
- Prefer verbal ability to read and understand written instructions, recipes, and labels.
- Prefer basic working knowledge of cash handling/cash register.
- Prefer ability to meet and communicate with public, staff and peers in a professional manner.
- Prefer: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
