What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Tech Lead position at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System?
Supports quality, safety and competency initiatives for all disciplines within designated service area. Responsible for assessing, delegating, implementing, evaluating and coordinating Nuclear Medicine patient care activities. Ensures the assessment and enhancement of clinical skills for all licensed Nuclear Medicine staff is within their primary service area and serves as a resource to the department. Provides quality, cost effective treatment to SMHCS customers; provides patient, family, and/or caregiver education and submits concise, accurate, and complete documentation and charges. Act as a liaison between staff, administration, physicians, other departments, and the public. Serves as a professional role model for staff in support of quality clinical practice and administrative direction. Is accountable for flexing staff to volume of patients.
Required Qualifications:
- Require completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
- Require American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification. If eligible for exam, must pass within one year from date of hire.
- Require two (2) years of current nuclear medicine experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer previous comparable leadership experience.
- Prefer American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART)'s Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
- Prefer previous nuclear cardiology experience.
