Job Summary :
Responsible for computer abstracting of cancer cases to meeting American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS) and Florida Cancer Data Systems (FCDS) requirements. Maintains a computerized master file and accession register. Perform a variety of duties involved in the organization, oversight, and documentation of a cancer registry in an ACOS accredited program.
Required Qualifications :
- Require a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare-related position.
- Require the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) credential within twenty-four (24) months of hire / promotion date. - Require active Florida Cancer Data System Abstractors Code.
