Job Summary
Responsible for providing users of the facility with a personalized fitness and healthy lifestyle program, which includes assessment of their fitness needs and then prescribing an exercise program that will assist the users in achieving their goals. Ability to design and implement a physical enhancement exercise regimen for an individual or small group, including special disease populations and/or community wellness programs. Assists with other facility service responsibilities, including supervision of fitness area, educational class instruction, equipment cleanliness and preventive maintenance, policy enforcement, incentive programming, stocking and folding of towels, scanning and filing of member files for delivering excellent customer service. Performs personal training sessions with members and guests, achieving monthly session targets as established by the facility. Displays comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to exercise in the adolescent through geriatric population. Assumes additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Require current nationally accredited fitness certification.
- Require Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification.
- Prefer a minimum of two hundred (200) hours of experience as a personal trainer and/or fitness instructor.
